Not all paper jam errors are the same. One of the first things to determine is whether the jam message only appears when you try to print or if it is present immediately after powering on the printer.
If the error only appears while printing, worn or dirty pickup rollers are often the cause. Over time, rollers lose their grip and may fail to feed paper properly, resulting in repeated paper jams or misfeeds.
If the paper jam message appears immediately when the printer powers on, the issue may be related to a paper sensor, registration assembly, paper feed mechanism, or another internal component. In some cases, small scraps of paper left behind from a previous jam can trigger the error.
While some paper jams can be resolved with basic cleaning or maintenance, recurring jam errors often require further diagnosis to identify the root cause.
